Kishwaukee Health Foundation Hosts Donor Appreciation Event

On June 16, Kishwaukee Health Foundation honored the past year’s donors with a summertime celebration in the Healing Garden at Kishwaukee Community Hospital. Over 225 guests enjoyed the sunshine on the patio while dining on hot dogs on the grill and root beer floats. The participants from the hospital’s Healing Paws therapy dog program attended, to the delight of young and old.

According to Health Foundation Executive Director Renee Ellingson, the event was a huge success because of the participation over the past year by many generous donors. Ellingson, along with Health Foundation Board Chair Virginia Larsen, thanked those in attendance for their continued support, noting the DeKalb area community is very generous in helping ensure quality healthcare far into the future.
