Heart of the Hospital
The Valley West Heart of the Hospital Annual Giving Fund began in 2004. To-date over $330,000 has been raised to help provide new Birthing Suites and Emergency Department equipment, allowing us to offer the best healthcare available to the community.
This year, Heart of the Hospital funds are being used to purchase a new diagnostic ultrasound system. This system wil be used for cardiac imaging and vascular studies such as venous and arterial dopplers of the extremities, and also for general ultrasound studies for breast, OB and abdominal organs such as gallbladder and kidney ultrasounds.
We were also able to help furnish Valley West Hospital with infection control stations, offering hand sanitizer, masks and tissues for visitors to help stop the spread of germs. Future contributions will fund medical and technological advancements, as well as support our unrestricted endowment fund so we can help purchase items needed to offer a state-of-the-art hospital.
Valley West's Tree of Life represents gifts to the Heart of the Hospital annual fund. Silver leaves represent gifts of $100-499 (sold out), copper leaves represent gifts of $500-999, and gold leaves represent gifts of $1,000-4,999. Stones under the tree represent gifts of $5,000 or more.
